One of our dancers, Melanie, had the incredible opportunity to travel to Japan with the GFSD group as part of an exchange student program. The delegation was honored with a Welcome Reception hosted by Saga City Hall and the Saga International Exchange Association, where our students showcased their talents. Melanie performed a beautiful dance on pointe.

ABT Nutcracker placement classes Saturday, September 7th, 2024

Our story begins with a beauful exoc Firebird, and young prince Ivan and their journey
through the forest, a magical garden where the evil Kostchel resides in an old castle where
Prince Ivan meets his true love Princess Tsarevna. Please join the Adirondack Ballet Theater in
Firebird Ballet – Our Enchanng Story,  let the music of Igor Stravinsky and our dancers take
you through her adventures, full of love and magic, encountering many friends and foes along
the way.
Following the success of three sold-out performances of the Nutcracker in December 2023, ABT
is proud to bring this full-length ballet to community arts patrons, as they make their return to
the stage with 50 local dancers, ages 4-18, alumni, and guest artists. Children are invited to
participate in an interactive dance activity during intermission.

The Magic of the holidays come alive with Adirondack Ballet Theater’s 32nd annual presentation of Tchaikovsky’s timeless holiday classic, “The Nutcracker”. ABT has the distinction of being the first dance company to perform this classical ballet at the Charles R Wood Theater, as we continue the annual holiday tradition. celebrating our 20th year anniversary season partnering with the Charles R. Wood Theater. ABT is proud to bring this full-length ballet to community arts patrons, with over 60 local dancers, ages 4-18, local actors, and guest artists. Join this local, critically acclaimed, dance company for one of its typically sold out performances as Clara dreams her way through the Land of the Sweets, meeting her Nutcracker Prince, the Sugar Plum and many other exciting characters in her magical celebration!

Placements for Roles will be on Saturday, September 9th , beginning at 10:00 am.
