Brittani Matos began dancing at age 3 at privately owned studios in Houston, Tx. She had the privilege of studying with esteemed teachers such as Lauren Anderson of The Houston Ballet, Kat Wildish of NYCB and ABT, Molly Snell of Monell Dance Company, Dana Sparks owner of In-Step Dance and many more teachers in a variety of styles. She then went on to pursue her B.F.A in Contemporary Dance from The Boston Conservatory (Graduated Cum Laude 2014). During her time at the conservatory she had the opportunity to perform works by world renowned choreographers, Bill T. Jones, Francesca Harper, Tommy Neblett, Lorraine Chapman, Danny Buraczeski, Gwendolyn Baum and Jose' Limon. She studied from esteemed teachers such as Donna Silva of Joffrey Ballet, Adriana Suarez of Boston Ballet, Cathy Young, Jimmy Viera, Leslie Woodies and many more. At age15 Brittani began assisting her teachers with classes in exchange for study. By 17 she was teaching her own classes to beginner level students in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern techniques. She also choreographed a routine for the Apprentice competition dance team, which took an overall award at Nationals in 2010. Since then Brittani has taught a variety of styles and choreographed for several recitals including a production of Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. One her favorite things about dance, is sharing it with others by both performing and teaching! I love working with anyone and everyone as long as they have a passion for dance, I have a passion to share!
