Diane L. LaBruzzo (Owner, Artistic Director, Dance Center of Queensbury and Adirondack Ballet Theater) holds a BS degree in Dance Education and Performance from the State University of New York at Brockport. After graduation she joined the faculty of The Dance Center of Queensbury, under the direction of Barbara Tebeau, as a teacher and choreographer.  She has been Artistic Director, President of the Board of Directors, going on 15 years of The Adirondack Ballet Theater. Upon the retirement of Barbara Tebeau she continues the philosophy of the Dance Center of Queensbury both as part owner, 1999 through 2007 and sole owner, 2008 to present in addition to Artistic Director of The Dance Center of Queensbury. Over the past fifteen years she has transitioned the school from its original location in Queensbury to downtown Glens Falls. She has written several grants for the Adirondack Ballet Theater receiving substantial funding from NYSCA and LARAC. Her Movement in Music Program designed for kindergarten education, was one of a very selective few receiving full funding from LARAC. During her course of teaching, students have been accepted to renowned summer intensive programs, performed with New York City Ballet at SPAC, pursued careers in dance at college, teaching and professional levels. Diane is trained in tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and ballet. She has trained in workshops with renowned master teachers Debbie Dee, Al Gilbert, Gus Giordano, Frank Hatchett, Bob Rizzo and Cathy Roe. She continues her dance education with renowned teachers at Broadway Dance Center in addition to many workshops in the northeast. She has choreographed original works in tap, jazz, lyrical, modern and ballet for Dance Center of Queensbury Showcase Performances, Adirondack Ballet Theater Performances and regional competitions, where dancers have received many first place platinum, high gold and gold awards in various competitions throughout the northeast. Many students with high scores in solo, duet and group work have qualified for National competitions. She is an active member of ARCC, LARAC and Dance Alliance.
